The route
Departure is from Tivat. The catamaran crosses Tivat Bay and passes through the Verige strait — the narrowest point of Boka Bay — into the inner bay framed by steep mountains.
- Perast — a small baroque town of stone palaces and bell towers, best seen from the water
- St. George Island and Our Lady of the Rocks — two islets opposite Perast; the church on the man-made island can be visited when the landing is open
- Kotor — the walled old town at the end of the bay (a view from the water or a stop, depending on time)
- Swimming stops in quiet coves on the way back
Approximate duration
About 4–6 hours with stops. A 4-hour charter covers Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks; for Kotor plus unhurried swimming, choose 6 or 8 hours.
Who it suits
First-time visitors to Montenegro, families and friends who want the classic views of Boka Bay, and groups combining sightseeing with swimming.
Weather and conditions
The inner bay is well sheltered, so this route is usually possible even when the open sea is choppy. The captain decides the final order of stops according to wind, traffic in the bay and landing availability at the islands.
