What to bring on a catamaran day trip

Sun and heat

  • Reef-friendly sunscreen (lotion rather than spray on deck), sunglasses and a hat
  • A light long-sleeved shirt for the hottest hours
  • Water — ask whether drinking water is included on your catamaran (it is on Fountaine Pajot 44)

Swimming

  • Swimwear and a towel (towels are included only on some boats)
  • Your own mask if you prefer it — several catamarans carry snorkeling equipment
  • Water shoes for rocky beaches

Food and drinks

Many catamarans allow you to bring your own food and drinks; some offer a barbecue or catering as an extra. Confirm it in your offer.

Comfort

  • Soft-soled shoes or bare feet on deck
  • A light jacket for the evening or the open sea in spring and autumn
  • Motion-sickness tablets if you are sensitive — catamarans rock much less than monohulls, but the open coast can still have a swell

Documents and money

Passports are not usually needed for a day trip inside Montenegro. Bring a card or cash for extras paid on board, if any are agreed.
